B18F513 means “Driver seat NTC open circuit”. The diagnostic reference lists an inoperative driver-seat heating function as the symptom.
The possible causes are the harness or connectors, the driver-seat assembly, and the left domain controller. The code alone doesn’t tell us which one has failed.
Fault condition: the measured NTC thermistor resistance is infinite.
The first step is to confirm whether the fault returns. The manual starts with reading and clearing the left body domain controller’s fault codes, cycling the start switch as specified, and reading the codes again.
If the same code does not return, it directs you to the intermittent-fault check. If it does return, the next step is to check the controller software version.
The next two checks concern the seat and controller harness connectors. The manual asks you to look for corrosion, damage and backed-out terminals, following the disconnection conditions in each step.
A connector or harness fault takes the repair-or-replace-harness branch. If those checks are normal, the sequence continues to the NTC+ and ground circuits.
The reference identifies these two paths. Both have a specified resistance of less than 1 Ω. Use the full procedure and its preceding conditions when carrying out the checks.
| Circuit | Terminals | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| NTC+ | KG64(J)-13 → K01-42 | < 1 Ω |
| Ground | KG64(I)-5 → K01-31 | < 1 Ω |
